Just before the holiday break, third grade Tessa is given an assignment to share her family's holiday traditions. From the outside, it seems like a no-brainer that Tessa and her Mother's holiday's are magical. That idea is confirmed when Tessa's Mom, Luna, writes out an idyllic Christmas day for Tessa to share with the class.We come to learn that what's written down on paper, and what really happens, are two very different realities.
